The way I see it AI is replacing code monkeys while keeping the creatives. This is objectively an efficiency improvement for the area. Unfortunately it will lead to layoffs, and basically the entire routine of coding will change. Even for the people that manage to survive, it sucks that they grew a passion for a certain routine over the decades and now it will change drastically into something completely different. But that's just the way it is, right? Boomers went through the same thing. Tech advancement is good in the long term but it sucks for those experiencing it in the short term.Many will need to relocate to a different trade. Only those good at adapting will remain. This means more people available to relocate to trades that can benefit humanity efficiently.
