The overworld is larger and there's more to explore plus the warrior vocation isn't unfairly cucked into being nigh useless but DD1 has a charm the second game kinda has but not as much of it. In terms of the story, DD1 is a unique game that was an absolute blast to experience, but DD2 feels like a disney movie, but a classic one like Mulan or Brave or something where it's good, but it's kinda cheesy in a way.All in all, I think both games are great and if you liked the first game, you'll like DD2 too, especially after the performance patch. TL;DR: They're both fun and you shouldn't let /v/'s contrarian pessimism inform your decisions barring games that actually are scams or don't work. /v/'s taste is very amorphous and more often than not is tied to a troll rather than someone giving a genuine opinion.
