Taking a risk in the original standing your ground and reloading to take out enemies in front of you was seriously tempting because retracing to reload really meant taking your eye off the enemies. You had to measure whether it was worth it or not to sacrifice your sight on the enemies when you wanted to reload. Now in the remake it almost always makes sense to retreat since you can reposition while reloading and angle the camera to keep watch over the enemy. The choice to reload is overall less interesting and difficult as a result.
>>748977342Anyone with a working brain already knows the original is a better, more unique experience. If someone hasn't figured this out yet then don't expect their shit taste to improve any time soon.

RE4 revolutionized the action shooter genre and created a completely new blueprint for the whole industry. Other games have used that blueprint. And RE4R copied those games without adding anything new. Afterall you can not make lighting strike twice.
>>748977759It's not even just that the original has more soul, the remake is just objectively a lesser product all around. The only thing I really thought was better was the shooting gallery minigame.
>>748978175>objectivelydon't use that word
>>748978220No, that was correct use of the word
>>748977342The original is trivially easy so the whole "commiting to reload" nonsense goes out the window since you can stagger literally anything with the TMP forever and abuse melee finishes with I-frames and massive AOEs that also have crits.Remake is hated because it's more difficult and has enemies actually charge at you at considerable speed with no 100% chance abusable stagger method.

>>748978808I've played the original when you were wearing daipers.
>>748977342retard. you never played the original. Its a piss easy game where enemies dont do jackishit are infinitely staggerable.
