I didn't expect Dead Rising of all things to get me emotional. I love the writing in this game.
YA CAN'T BE SERIOUS
>>749431452the first DR was the perfect mix of "zombie movie silliness" and the like more hard-hitting 28 days later music stuff that zombie movies actually implyfeels like later games got too goofy
>>749431452>It doesn't hurt... not even a little...
>>749431452Don't mind me, just copypasting a post I made on another DR thread a week ago:I love how creepy the last section of DR's plot genuinely feels, starting with Carlito's death and giving Isabela his locket. For the first time in the entire game you have no quest marker to guide, rather you've given sparse scenes while you're desperately rushing back to the Security Room as you see Jessie freaking out over the glowies pulling a Half-Life, the Spec Ops threatening her, her turning into a fucking zombie, the survivors all being gone, the entire mall being completely empty from zombies which gives it this eerie feeling, the last in-game hour you probably spend alone in the helipad waiting for Ed, just kinda... sitting there, taking it all in, thinking how different things were three days earlier when you first landed and had no idea what you were getting into. And then Overtime Mode, with the same empty mall with psycho Spec Ops trying to murder you but now also with proto-drones, a sewer(?) tunnel chock-full of zombies, Brock pulling a "yeah I know what I do is fucked up but guess what, humanity's fucked up, we're great at making mistakes, I just deal with it and accept my part in the system", Frank's scream, and then "And yet he complained that his belly was not full".Sure, Dead Rising was always wacky in a lot of ways, but damn if it didn't take itself incredibly seriously. Brad's death scene is 10/10, and optional at that because the devs trusted in players caring enough about him to try and find him down there. But like Saints Row, what started as "serious narrative with the comedy coming solely from the wacky gameplay" slowly devolved into "wacky world with wacky characters and a wacky plot". Oh well.https://youtu.be/spyGRgTpHZI
>>749431993>>749432104>As soon as Brad gets his hands on that terrorist, I guess it'll be case closed, huh?she was too innocent for this shit...
>>749431741I think 2 had the perfect balance. The game was incredibly silly but some parts felt genuinely tense. The emotional stakes between Chuck and Katie also worked really well, and was implemented into the gameplay in a way that worked really well.
>>749431712Reminder Jeff and Natalie are in the game's cover.
>>749431452Because the game takes itself wholly seriously, the silly stuff is relegated entirely to how you can interact with the mall and the zombies ie putting Servbot masks on their heads or taking Erotica pics of their cleavage. The characters react like they would in reality, half the scenes take place in the same security room but it never grows old because Jessie and Brad are engaging throughout due to how they react to their situation in a way that makes all the sense in the world. The epitome of the "larger than life" characters are still incredibly grounded comparatively with the sequels, like a mall clown or an overweight cop. Compare it with Slappy or Randy or Evan from 2, or just the existence of TIR as a whole. Feels like a far wackier world than the 'close to reality' existence of DR1.
>>749432557well, I think 1 had the perfect balance already
>>749431452I've had the same thing with [Saints Row 2[/spoiler]Carlos what did they do to you
>>749433837>Do me a favor. When you check the trunk, just remember you should have offered me something better than twenty percent
>>749431993>mfw
>the war... never ended for me
>mama... papa...
>>749432319One nice addition the demake made was Jessie frowning when Frank dodges the question.
>Do it, Frank... Take my picture...Wait, no. That one wasn't sad kek
>>749433607ahh... I miss these games with sincere writing. today, instead of this we'd get... dead rising 4
>...
>>749431452the worst part is that you have the servbot helmet while sad stuff happens
too bad the retarded timer makes it essentially impossible to actually complete the game your first playthrough
>>749437512completely blind? sort of true. game is definitely beatable if you start at LV 1 though. it's my favorite way to play it.
>>749437475https://youtu.be/1qdxvtHTlFw?t=2682
>>749431452DR1 was played straight while being B movie it was never so randum xD
>>749437512I'm in the last case in my first blind playthrough though! it wasn't easy, I lost a lot and I'm barely level 22 by now, but I'm planning on beating the game tonight. It's possible. >>749437569>completely blind? sort of true. Why? I didn't look up anything, I don't know what's there to look up, anyway. I got my ass kicked a lot though.
>>749437512You have a ton of time. Really too much on some of the days.
>>749439089this. doing everything does need a lot of planning, but just doing the main cases is easy (although challenging if you only do one run because you'd be really weak, the game encourages leveling up and restarting)
>>749432557Anon 2 starts with a TV show about rounding up thousands of zombies to be killed with chainsaw motorbikes while at the same time there's a hippie group asking for zombie rights. It's a far cry from "regular people trapped in a regular mall" looking to escape the genuinely spooky zombies that can kill them any second.
>>749437512Damn anon it's like the game's built around you taking your knowledge of a failed run forwards with you.
the start of day 2 is a fucking pain in the ass, there's so many short lived scoops running at the same time
>>749431452I'm so happy about all the DR threads made in the last week.>>749432104Great description of how masterfully the whole last few hours of the game is executed. Maybe the only game I sincerely wish I could play blind all over again.
>>749440737
>>749440961>all the DR threads made in the last week.I still think it's Capcom shilling for an upcoming game.
>>749441193or it's halloween and people are playing horror games? that's what i'm doing (and the game takes place late september-early october)
>>749441143>>749440737I remember playing Dead Rising 2 as a kid and trying to do the 50 survivors achievement without a guide or internet. Think I ended up with something like 37 saved. I replay these games every couple years from level 1 and still need a walkthrough open lol
>>749441291I mean I get it but dead rising isn't exactly horror
>>749431452I hate how every zombie game always has to have the most insane gimmick. Like dead island takes place on an island and plays like an “immersive sim (First Person RPG)” with leveling. L4D is quite literally a game inspired by a co-op zombie mod in cs:s/hl2dm. Deadrising had too much padding when it came down to traversing the mall, you’re definitely not going to save everyone the first time around. I think playing this game on a CRT, gave me an entirely different vibe than playing it on an LCD. CoD zombies is CoD zombies, it doesn’t need its gimmick explained. Dying light had parkour. The whole genre is weird, man.
>>749441193>he doesn't knowOne of /v/'s favorite e-celebs has recently released a DR video, it's probably as simple as that.
>>749441385What would be a "gimmickless zombie game"? Open world survival crafting like Days Gone or movieslop like Last of Us?
>>749433690Yes, I didn't mean to negate 1's balance. Both 1&2 are great games. >>749439417>2 starts with a TV show about rounding up thousands of zombies to be killed with chainsaw motorbikesYes, and it's kino.
>>749441601The Last of Shart? that game doesn't have anything special going for it
>>749441476Deadrising is obviously going to be considered a classic by zoomies since there weren’t really many better zombie games to choose from. But if you like it for its insane bosses, there are a plethora of games from that era that are nearly exactly like it. Basically every B game has them. God Hand is a prine example but of course zoomies wouldn’t call God Hand a B game.
>>749441601ZombieU but it’s only gimmickless in the PAL regions
>>749441601DayZ
>>749441837Anon said that zombies games must always have a gimmick, I'm asking which one does TLoU supposedly have.>>749441914London.>>749441952Barely a zombie game, it's more focused on talking with ESLs via voice chat.
>>749441837>b-b-but they’re actually not zombies but people (((infected))) by the same le heckin pizza mushroominos as the mushrooms that marathon runners eat. It’s so le heckin meta bro
>>749442012No, he said that he hates how zombie games have weird gimmicks. TLOU has none.
>>749442012>Naughty Dog moviegame>I am Legend Clone>technically not zombies, basically I Am Legend
>>749442114>TLOU has noneteen pussy
>>749442114No, he said "every zombie game always has to have the most insane gimmick". Every.
>>749442114It’s also not a game
>>749442260well, doesn't change the fact that TLOU is the outlier
>>749442323Again, it’s not a game nor are they really zombies
>>749442242I guess, but wasn't he talking about gameplay gimmicks?>leveling up>parkour>horde fighting>co-op style>mall sandboxmeanwhile TLOU is barely even a game
>>749442384>it’s not a game nor are they really zombiesfirst thing is true, but about them "not being zombies"... well, you can always swap butter for margarine. they're just zombies
>>749441476who's that?
You know you can think a game to be bad and not say something as unfathomably retarded as "it's not a videogame", right. For the love of god don't make me defend The Last of Us of all fucking things.
>>749442396Behold, the ultimate lifeform of gimmick zombie games. Also resident evil is a point and click adventure game with tank controls. That’s it. It’s truly an NPC’s fever dream if they were capable of having dreams with their lack of sentience.
>>749441854DR is a classic though, it's undeniably good. I mean, God Hand too, but both things can be true.
>>749442396TLOU's gimmick would be Ellie as a companion AI, like Elizabeth the same year.
>>749431452still the best one honestly. I don't hate 2 but the casino is less strong of a setting as the mall, it just feels worse to play.
>>749442765tell me about that gaem. I also remember zombi U
>>749442538Yeah but if you’re going to argue that it doesn’t have gimmicks, you should also analyze it for any technicalities that it may have to be fair. It’s like they require a gimmick to receive that sweet sweet blackrock money and since they tried (the word is tried) to go for a gimmickless game despite having way too much story for its own good, they had to not call them zombies by definition.
>>749442890It was about modern day london.
>>749442849>TLOU's gimmick would be Ellie as a companion AIwell, I guess it counts even though we already had Ashley before and obviously the uncharted games that are basically where TLOU was reskinned from and had the same "gimmick"
>>749442890>>749442983Oh the rpg, i thought you meant zombiU. I never played it. I saw it on G4 100 years ago
>>749441914>>749442890ZombiU's gimmick was the whole "you play as a new survivor every time you die and you need to go back to your previous, now zombified survivor to get your gear".
>>749443052Exactly, a super generic hallway adventure game. Hallway adventures are an NPC’s wet dream, if they were capable of dreaming
>>749442932>It’s like they require a gimmick to receive that sweet sweet blackrock moneyYOU CARED MORE ABOUT YOUR GIMMICKS THAN ABOUT MAKING A GOOD GAME!
>>749443093That sounds kind of cool
Dead Rising was my favourite zombie game
>>749433607Ted and Boykin were the only grounded psychopaths in 2
>>749443052Ellie was more 'active' in that she had a whole bunch of triggers around the levels where she'd comment on stuff and you were prompted to talk back if you noticed. Then you played as her. It was meant to create a "bond" with the player, thus the Elizabeth comparison.
what's the gimmick in this one?
>>749443289It was pretty neat.https://youtu.be/FjoV6z8W6Ic?t=38
He didn't deserve it :(
>>749443459didn't Uncharted have some of these? like when you jump in a pool and Drake starts talking to Chloe?
>>749443627Should've stopped shooting me after I chainsaw'd his dad and brother.
>>749443627yeah that was kinda sad
>>749443706Those were few and all automatic ie the convo triggers by jumping into the pool. In TLoU Ellie will say something about the room you're in or whatever and it's up to you to show interest and get a reply or not.https://youtu.be/gk1M3dr7OjM?t=307
I liked it.
Case West is so fucking SHIT
>sprays you
>>749444514It is genuinely a better experience if you watch the 20 minutes worth of cutscenes on YouTube instead of playing it. Wild how you're pressed for time in every other game meanwhile in Case West you *want* the timer to go down but you need to sit there for like 20 real life minutes because you don't give a shit about exploring the boring lab further or about rescuing the Phenotrans "survivors".
>>749444721They're more annoying than bad, they die from a single Defiler jump attack. The constant switching of music when they're in the vicinity is what's irritating.
>>749444319I would play it if it weren't exclusive. But as things are right now, should I just play 4 after beating off the record?
>>749442685Explain to me how it is a game
>>749445734It has stages you traverse through, climbing obstacles, dealing with enemies and solving minor puzzles. It has a variety of weapons you can freely use, aim and shoot. It has ammo, it has health bars, it has companion and enemy AI, it has stealth, it has unlockable costumes, it has game overs. It's a fucking videogame, regardless of what you or I may think about the game-to-cutscene ratio. Thus "you can think a game to be bad and not say something like it's not a videogame".
>>749444319it's been 10 years, but i liked 3 too. i remember playing the game on nightmare difficulty from level 1 and trying to do all the challenges in a single playthrough wasn;'t too different from DR1 and DR2>>7494455594 is absolutely terrible. Genuinely one of the worst games i ever played >play it blind>knew people hated it, but thought i'd get some fun out of it like 3>no psychos>no survivors>awful dogshit royalty free christmas music in any car you enter>removed co-op for some shitty 15 minute 4-player scripted episodes that all take place in a shitty cucked version of willamette mall>removed the kill counter for some stupid "hit" counter>removed a fuck ton of combo weapons and that RV that let's you change weapons and clothes on the go>removed a bunch of combo weapons for shittier ones>frank's a giant faggot and his new voice sucks>entire story was lame and forgettable full of faggy marvel quips>absolutely awful dlc, the frank zombie one was especiall fucking retarded>glitch as fuck achievements, didn't even fix the windows 10 xbox version, still has a broken achievement lol>find out later the devs blatantly like in all the pre-release interviews for the game saying shit like "We're taking the series back to its roots! We're going back to Willamette! etc.." yet the game played just like a shittier version of DR3 instead of DR1
>>749445559>I would play it if it weren't exclusive??>should I just play 4 after beating off the record? You should never ever under any circumstance play 4. Have you played regular 2?
>>749445936>>removed a fuck ton of combo weapons and that RV that let's you change weapons and clothes on the go>>removed a bunch of combo weapons for shittier onesoops, i mention that twicei just think it's funny the devs lied so much about how they "taking the IP back to its foundation!" or whatever, but to me it just seemed like an excuse to remove shit from the game cause it played so much like 3 instead of 2 or 1
>>749446096It's because the game that released is legit unfinished, we got a production that was maybe 40% of the way done. You know about the behind the scenes production issues? How they tried to make a Last of Us clone and Capcom Japan told them "that's fucking retarded" so they had to restart production with whatever remaining time and budget they had?
>>749445936damn... how come everything went so fucking wrong?>>749446032>regular 2yeah! but I want to beat off the record before trying anything else or just stopping once and for all. I'm a Frankfag.
>>749445912doing the fucking bare minimun shouldn't be rewarded or defended. or are you gonna defend E.T. (Atari) too?
>>749446478>rewarded or defendedI am stating a fact.
>>749431452My nigga didn't deserve to go out all alone in a shitty service tunnel.
>>749446381Should've played 2 before OtR, the latter expects you to be familiar with 2's story and mechanic changes. Not to mention, OtR Frank isn't really Frank.; real Frank reappeared in Case West, which was regular 2's epilogue.
I remember this other thread where anons were saying they could easily survive Dead Rising, and then someone else stated that it's harder than it looks like, and it's true. Some missions are just suicidal, like the one where Frank has to go through the maintenance tunnel and get the bombs while the hordes of zombies fill the entire place to the brim and, to top it off, Carlito is trying to run you over with a truck the whole time. Frank making it out alive from that one is a huge feat.
>>749446875Even of Frank did take a few minutes to enjoy a trucker's nap here and there on the couch, he more or less stayed awake for 4 days straight while fighting zombies. And then spec ops. Nobody on 4chins is doing that.
>>749446875Oh I would survive no problem. I'd just, you know, stay in the Security Room, try and pull a "we might die any second, want a quickie?" with a female survivor and escape with Otis.
>>749446609you were there to snap a picture... which, in retrospective, was an asshole move.

>>749446875even the first case with Carlito shooting you isn't something most people here could pull off
>>749446647>Not to mention, OtR Frank isn't really Frank.; real Frank reappeared in Case West, which was regular 2's epilogue.None of them are real Frank,Real Frank is only in (OG) DR1.Everything else is fan-fiction made by different devs.
>>749447151True. But there is ONE case of GREAT fanfiction. Frank in UMVC3.
>>749447019>can't take him to the safe room hm...
>>749447246Don't forget about Frank in Project X Zone.
>>749447151My point being that CW Frank feels like an evolution of the kind of person he'd be after Willamette. Someone serious, still in the game tracking those responsible for zombie outbreaks, wearing a constant reminder of where he came from around his neck (OtR just reused the model as-is), outraged when finding out Isabela's with Phenotrans. OtR Frank is just a quippy asshole that doesn't take anything serioulsy and would've made one-liners about Cliff had he been in DR1.
>>749447324why was he paired with Hsien-ko in that game?
>>749447479She owes him sex.
>>749447435>would've made one-liners about Cliff had he been in DR1."You lost the battle and the war, punk."
>>749447729hear the screams? why don't you hear MY SHOTGUN screaming?! *boom!*
>>749444319>>7494459362013 was truly a different time.

>>749447435>OtR Frank is just a quippy asshole that doesn't take anything serioulsy and would've made one-liners about Cliff had he been in DR1.Hell no, Frank in OtR is only an asshole if you treat him like an asshole, the quippy oneliners are mostly reserved for the psychopats that outright started the beff with him or didin't bat an eye to killing survivors, frank being kind of a bitter ironic asshole makes sense in the story context considering that he ened up being a washed up celebrity, hell the game starts as him wrestling zombies just to get zombrex money, anyone would turn into a bitter asshole, and even like that he was still a stand up guy looking out for the truth.
WELLLLLLLL
What about Case Zero?
>>749449042It got decompiled recently!
>>749441143I always thought it was funny how she's in a place called The Black Bean. Intentional? Who knows.
>>749448457kek
>>749442649British /v/irgin who makes long form videos
>>749448702Yeah, no, OtR completely missed the point of his character, he's literally a comic-relief version of his former self. A manifestation of the 'meme Frank' that the internet sort of created after all his unintentional goofiness in the first game. Shit like Watchtower or DR4 is built upon OtR's foundations with people believing Frank is SUPPOSED to be like his OtR self. Frank in DR1 has a character arc in which he goes from that slimy, jackass, fameseeking paparazzi to a heroic, truth-seeking photojournalist. He enters Willamette wanting the whole world to know his name, and he leaves Willamette wanting the whole world to know what really happened and who was responsible not just for Willamette but also Santa Cabeza. This character development is reflected in Frank's updated design the next time we see him after Dead Rising 1, which is Case West where he's wearing Carlito's locket. It's unclear why Frank has the locket instead of Isabela, but it's pretty clear why he wears it. Carlito may have been a terrorist who caused a zombie outbreak that killed 50k people, but he was also a victim that struck back at the government that used his family and entire town as a proving grounds farm without caring for the cost. As Carlito is dying from his wounds, Frank is sympathetic enough to comfort him with the knowledge that the world *will* know what really happened to Santa Cabeza. After the fact, Frank wears the locket to signify his renewed purpose as a photojournalist, as a reminder of why he does what he does, bringing the people the truth and holding the people at the top accountable.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ziU0ULSvTss
>>749448702And that is reflected in Case West, where he feels like a natural follow-up to his DR1 character arc, going after the people at the top, Phenotrans, to help the regular people... then Off the Record sends Frank back to the start of his DR1's self ie a slimy, fameseeking paparazzi, a washed-up celebrity whose only concern with the most recent zombie outbreak he's in is that it could relaunch his career. You could try and argue that Frank falling victim to the celebrity life is in line with DR1's social commentary? But it's entirely lame to have a character's entire development completely undone, and all of Frank's appearances going forward until the series dies with DR4 are him as his OtR self. Worse versions of his OtR self, but evolutions of it nonetheless. And that version of Frank West is a callous, wisecracking jackass who will do anything it takes to get his scoop. OtR Frank has a one-liner for every situation, every survivors you save, every skill move you perform, every location you can visit ("In the Closet? Yeah, this is my favorite place to be" HAHAHA). It is literally Dead Rising 4's baby Hitler.Take the Psychopaths, specifically: a cool change from Frank to Chuck was how the latter was considerably more dismissive and less sympathetic towards his Psychos due to how different a person he was. Frank in DR1 usually tried to reason with his Psychopaths, Joy or Kent or Steven, and he never took joy in their demise no matter how evil they were or how much trouble they gave him. Chuck would rarely and barely try to reason with his and would usually be so unaffected by their deaths afterwards he'd crack a joke about it ("Yeah, you're on fire"). Then in OtR Frank just acts the exact same way Chuck did in DR2, he's dismissive, he's impatient, and he's always got a quip in the chamber to the point he pulls two back to back with the final fucking boss ("Always thought you had a crush on me", "Too bad I don't dig flat chicks").
>>749447151Dead Rising 2 and consequently Case Zero and West were supervised by the original team and Frank's character is completely in tact for Case West.
>>749448702Without the context of Chuck's backstory and motivations, this behavior makes Frank seem like he's just an asshole. You could try and make the argument that Frank has gone through similar things that Chuck, but Frank was already hardened by the time Dead Rising 1 begins. It's more than just a funny catchphrase, Frank *has* covered wars. He has performed the most dangerous and noble form of journalism there is. The man had already seen some shit before Willamette but even still, the events there horrified him to the point he finally breaks after the fight with Brock. It doesn't make any fucking sense that he's callous enough in OtR to be able to make jokes about the situation and act entirely different than he did in Case West, nevermind the original game. And the absolute worst moment in the entire game, character wise? Evan, who feels more like a joke than a legitimate attempt to call back to DR1. Frank meets this dude whose brother he fucking killed and his first instinct upon receiving that news is to crack a joke about it, when Adam was one of the saddest Psychopaths in the first game: a children's entertainer who lost his mind after seeing his audience get torn apart by zombies. Adam was dangerous and Frank had to do what he did, but he was by no means an evil individual taking advantage of the outbreak like Jo for example. He was the most similar to Cliff, if anything. Then you get to Evan's phase 2 cutscene where Frank believes he's killed this dude, so he cracks a joke about him being short and starts whistling the fucking Willamette Mall music. Think about the context of the situation. Imagine I shanked your brother in a McDonalds and a couple years later you finally find me, I beat your ass and while you're lying there trying to recover I'm walking away and I start whistling the fucking "I'm Lovin' it" tune. Even if your hypothetical brother had it coming, that's a heartless asshole fucking move.
>>749449660https://youtu.be/OKrLqS1lh3s?si=vCinRmw5Ig-Uk7YBOff the Record is how Frank imagine's it would go down if he was there, not how it actually would. Lots of people like to fantasize being a quippy action man in such a situation.
>>749448702And then after the fight is over, Frank goes out of his way to disrespect the clown some more putting his foot on his forehead and shattering him before making another joke at his expense. If this version of Frank fought Cliff instead of silently, respectfully closing the Vietnam vet's eyes he would've said >>749447729. And this isn't just Frank being kind of silly for a non-canon spin-off. This is his personality going forward. This is the version of Frank that Rob Riggle played in Watchtowwer, this total jackass that doesn't care about anything other than being on TV and selling his book:https://youtu.be/4m81kvgy20YAnd then there's DR4 Frank who feels like how you would naturally write Frank West if your only exposure to him was, wait for it: Off the Record. That's not Frank. Never was, never will be, and people that cheered every time Frank in that game talked like he was in an 80s movie? Like it or not, they led us down this path.
>>749449708Case West wasn't. Inafune was gone by then.
>>749449042It's good.
>>749444514the real jewish thing about case west is them charging 15 bucks when case zero was 5 bucks. aint worth 10 dollars more for generic ass resident evil labs and co op
>>749449382I hope decomps mean clean content complete PC ports for DR2/OTR.
>>749449801And it still doesn't change the fact most people ate it up, and that went on to be his default canon personality in future appearances. And hell I didn't even mention other stuff less related to Frank as a character like how the fact that the game had to follow 2's script and motion captured cutscenes ends up making Frank come across like a fucking idiot when he believes the news about CURE as if he didn't learn anything about the truth being obfuscated and distorted after his Willamette discoveries being buried. Or just

>>749451235Original, the ports are perfect and look beautiful with how colorful the game is.
>>749451053I play vidya in this pose
I liked 4's UI.
>>749452338>health bar instead of squares
Katey...
would you buy it?
>>749432720I don't see them, but I think I see zombie Brad, which I never noticed before
>>749454237
>>749454114Made for NickAnd Isabela was made for Frank
>>749454372
>>749454721she got old really fast
>>749455809She was a government prisoner for 15 years straight, immediately after Willamette. And I do I think she looks hotter in 3 compared with her Case West model.
>>749456017yeah... although that Isa does look like a typical latina
>>749454210>literal reddit picBro...
>>749458049how did you know?
>>749459907I used the power of the hacker known as 4chan to type "Dead Rising Jayden Benny" on Google.
>>749460124Impressive...
>>749449660>>749449706>>749449751>>749449806wow anon you actually managed to shut me up and change my mind, but now im curious, what is your honest opinion on Nick? the DR 3 protag, he is the closest thing we got to a DR 1 frank considering he is most of the game scared shitless.
>>749449672I used to think the special forces were the coolest thing as a kid, especially with the music. I remember getting a m4 airsoft gun with the grenade launcher attatchment like in the game (despite it being useless). it was my first real step into guns
RE2 OG > Dead Rising OG > the restCapcom created two masterpieces
>>749461817i always thought it was weird that they decided to do a retread of the bioterrorist big pharma company angle
>>749443093It was also like one of the rare games to properly use the tablet, as you when you where looking at your backpack the game didn't pause. This efffect is lost in the ports.
>>749435120I don’t think I’ve ever fully done his case arc I immediately kill him with the intro shotgun you pick up
>>749446032Pretty sure the reason 3 will always be an exclusive is Xbox having its hands in the dev process
>>749462016It’s actually pretty great. He starts out as just another retard with a camera but then ties some bitch up, at which point Frank asks him to stop and he goes full karate kick
>secret passages>shortcuts>tunnels >quickstep drink>2x mixed drink magazine>Speed upgrades>3x clown chainsaw with 3 magazinesThis game is fucking fun to play over again from level 1 and speed run
>looking for the special forces cutscene from the original game (cant find it because demaster has fucked the algorithm)>start looking through all>get to zombie jessie>with glorious modern dau resolution you can actually see hints of her panties underneath her skirtthe demaster should have gone the Destroy All Humans route and enhanced the panty shots, not remove them altogether. justice for Alyssa Laurent!
>>749462291that's not even zombie Jessie, she simply does that every time Frank tries to sleep.
Who is (You)r favorite psycho? For me it's Cliff.
