I played in the beta and there didn't seem to be an issue with lag. You shouldn't die unless the other player is just better. However, you could always survive as Jon Snow i.e. with people helping you.

They're clearly building towards a reset of sorts, they're focusing very heavily on tying up loose ends, and ending plots and character arcs that have been going for 20+ years (some from Warcraft 3, even).

The real question is what comes next. You could cope and say "WoW 2!!", but Forever is as close to a WoW 2 as you could get I think. They won't have that and also a sequel.
