>>749863030saar claude is ai saar there are no other models and you can only use claude on a subscription i sold my wife for max plan saar api too complicated
>>749871060okay, let's talk about this then;what are quests, and what is mob AI (or scripting)?Quest is very simple: you do X, you talk to npc, he gives you Y or Z. That's it. The amount of X you need to kill or the trigger you need to achieve by talking to N NPC is not hard to replicate, a model from last year could've figured that out, PLAYERS can figure it out.Now mob AI:This is all visually explained (it needs to be, because you need the player to see where the mob is, how fast it moves, what attack it does, etc). All of this has been completely analyzed by omega autists these last 20 years, everything's on the wiki, every stats for every mob is there. Now, which part do you think is missing?
>>749871060You can capture inputs and outputs the same way wallhackers watch everyone on a server even if they shouldn't be able to see them. Only things that are truly random can't be copied 1:1 and even those you just need enough samples to derive the code.

>>749866623Local AI today is better than subscription AI from 6 months ago and this has reliably been the case for ages now. You don't even need a top-of-the line card, a 16GB GPU and 64GB RAM is enough to get decent speed and quality. It doesn't even take much work to get it set up anymore. Honestly I'm starting to get buyer's remorse some days, the gap between what I can run on my 6000 Pro and what I can run on my 5070 Ti isn't that wide right now. This is why Nvidia is hedging their bets and pushing consumer-oriented AI hardware, buying huggingface, etc. Anthropic and OpenAI aren't at risk of going away because of lack of need or lack of utility, what's actually threatening them long-term is open-weights AI getting so good there's no practical need for subscription services. It'll probably be a year or more before you can do this kind of high-level decompilation stuff locally though; the latest online stuff was a pretty huge leap. The best you can run for local decompilation is like 1/10th as accurate as Astra or Opus. That said, the most interesting stuff to do with AI is creating new things, not just decompslop. I've written a bunch of useful utilities and I've been working on an RTS.

>>749875848How would that even work anon. The ai can look at the compiled code and see exactly what it does.
>>749876147yes but that's the next step for all these big corporations to try to protect their products. they are the ones pushing for AI so hard but AI is going to be the thing that dismantles their entire business. without a doubt there will be a hard push to try to create some kind of protected database where commercial AI models will not be allowed to interact with code.
>>749876057>but it can't turn the screwdriver or solder or wire anything...yet. Look at how fast robotics is advancing.Right now I'm the main developer on a series B startup so I've got tons of responsibility/pay. The question is what will be safe in 2030 and we are all really bad at predicting that.In 2023 everybody was saying that cybersecurity was going to be safe, patching all the security holes made by AI. But now LLMs are arguably better at cybersecurity than anything else.
>>749876275AI companies(mostly) are not the same companies as the software ones. They dont give a shit if they eat their lunch, they only begudgingly add protections to stop from being sued. Can I ask some advice?I've started working on a game prototype that heavily leverage LLM for content generation in a way I think is novel. If I think it's any good, on the one hand I'd like to open source it or use it to promote my other gamedev efforts (I.e my unfinishable magnum opus) but I'm worried that the stench of LLM/AI would turn people off from the game that doesn't use AI/LLM at all... Make people view the writing in the hand written game with more suspicion.Should I keep the LLM prototype to myself or idk keep them apart? Obligatory LLM slop bad. My prediction:Computer component prices continue to steadily increase for consumers.Computers eventually become too expensive for the majority of consumers, leaving only businesses capable of their purchases.Laws are passed where computers are strictly regulated, most people will not be able to afford or let alone legally own one.Cloud computing becomes the mainstay for the general consumer, every 'station' (monitor with mouse and keyboard) that can be accessed anywhere is now your computer as you can access your data on any device.Cloud computing is now locked down, everything you do is monitored. You will no longer be able to create anything without being supervised. Most everything will be subscription based but done more like cable TV where you get 'package' deals. You now no longer own anything and will be happy because the new generations won't know any better as older generations get phased out.I think this is a slow rollout type of ordeal. Probably 25, 30 years or so unless a critical world threat speeds up the pace to possibly 15 years.

I was able to prompt a Mod Loader for Atelier Ryza 1-3 that allows me to instantly switch active mods like No Reload Mod Loader while the game is active, since it reads loose files once the PAK has been extracted. It's able to read mods in whatever drive or folder you've put em, keeps a copy of the original character file, and once you de-activate/disable the mod it will restore the original file, so that the original costume persists afterwards. It also auto-detects the game file-path, which I didn't even tell it to do.This was just with the free version as well. I just hit my cap like 10 minutes ago too, so I'm happy with what I got so far.

It will be a forced measure that will use 'security' as a scapegoat. China has the framework to succeed for this as they already control their populace with mobile phones and relatively locked down internet. This is about taking power back from the populace, it's in every countries best interest to return to a locked down ecosystem that they control.Everything sounds far-fetched, but we're 1 world catastrophe (orchestrated or not) from fear once again causing us to lose substantially more freedom.I suppose it does sound conspiratorial, but when has it not been in the governments best interest to control the access to information and tools? What benefit is there to continue to have unfettered access to A.I. from their point of view once they feel they've squeezed us for all the data we're worth? What's the other outcome? Everyone in the world agrees not to do bad things? Humanity behaves itself and we all agree that cyber attacks on critical infrastructure are unacceptable? Something has to give with this much power and we're a retroactive species that prefers writing our laws in blood.

Even authoritarian governments have competing economic interests. And your argument is basically unfalsifiable. If restrictions happen, it's proof of the conspiracy. If they don't, we're just waiting for the next catastrophe. You haven't provided evidence of global coordination, just a hypothetical scenario where every government behaves exactly as your theory requires.
