This was my build: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/K8xWdHMy pc died today. Suddenly shut off, no bsod, just kaput. Motherboard had a red light and looks like something on it burned, possibly a capacitor or vrm component. Been having ram issues too, with memory tests showing a fuckton of errors.Other parts are probably fine, but everything is out of warranty and i honestly can't be bothered troubleshooting and replacing shit again. A ps5 pro is somehow cheaper than a new set of ram sticks at these prices. Unironically considering switching to console....should I do it? What do you suggest?I'm on a 6 year old gayming laptop right now...
>>>/g/ will help you better than >>>/v/
>>749865969PS5 is end of life, GTA VI is its last game.dont be a retard, buy a new motherboard
>>749866090He needs RAM as well, retard. PS5 Pro is the best price to performance right now.
>>749866126Ram errors can be caused by a failing motherboard, Sherlock.
Do you think CP77 on controller is the best game ever? Get a PS5Do you play other PC games? Fix your PC.Both are overpriced, get the one that you will actually be happy with.
>>749866126>pay $1000 for a 6 year old console
>>749865969Unless you can find a used PS5 for $300 so you can jailbreak it it's not worth it. PS5 is garbage today
>>749865969could have been your PSU maybe since some people think corsair is garbage, also you will get raped by paying for online/having full priced games and having a locked down goybox so i wouldn't personally
>>749866391if the psu popped there wouldnt be any lights>>749865969its most likely just the motherboard. the cheapest route is to replace it, but its also the most work. if youre lazy, buy a console. its why most people buy them anyway.it's worth noting that prebuilts these days are priced fairly well. you could get a whole new, better pc for less than a ps5 pro and a handful of games.
>>749865969pretty sure u can easily buy a replacement part in price of a console and still have change left
>>749866391doubt it, the RMe series is an B-tier PSU, plus OP's description sounds like the PSU still works. It's more than likely the motherboard, being such a cheapo board. A replacement wouldn't cost much so he may as well buy a new board.
Blows my fucking mind that people can't work on their own PCs with how many tutorials there are now. Every single cable can only plug into its designated socket. Take a photo before you take things apart.
>>749865969>Motherboard had a red lightThat's a debug light you fucking idiot. Look up your motherboard manual and match the light to what the debug says. It will tell you exactly what part is wrong or the board might be bad
>>749865969that's not high endit's mid tier at best. sorry to burst your bubble
>>749865969You deserve it for posting a dyke from a dogshit game.
>>749867894not OP but diagnostic lights barely tell you anything, there's too many reasons a light would show even if the board has multiple diagnostic LEDs. The only way to truly troubleshoot it is to try each part with known-good ones.
>>749865969either buy the console, or bite the bullet and buy the pc parts now. theyre loud and clear with this saying the ram shortage shit isnt ending for atleast 2 more years.i would save up cash and fix the pc personally
>>749867894>>749865969Which light you dumb motherfucker
>>749865969>my gaming PC died, so I am on my other gaming PC nowtired of this meme, so happy for you, faggot
>>749867921>it's mid tier at best.a 4070 super can still eat up any modern game. its not high end, but calling it mid is insulting when the majority of people are still playing on 2000 and 3000 series.
>>749868271it's useful to have another computer for situations like computer breaking
>>749868273sorry to hear that you're brown
>>749868502only brownoids buy NEWEXPENSIVETHING when they dont need it. how many iphones do you have in your junk drawer, jequavius?
>>749868658keep coping from your mudhut brownoid kek
