Bros I'm actually having fun with this game? It feels like a 2D version of the PS2 games with the focus on combat mechanics. The only part I hate is the exploration because you have to damn near beat the entire game to get all the exploration mechanics you need to clear every little room and secret area. Wasted so much time running around the ridiculously big map trying to solve puzzles I simply didn't have the tools for and nearly softlocked myself by getting into the secret room you're supposed to timestop to get into but I managed to just barely slip in past the sliding blocks and getting back out forced me to revert to last saveRose is cute, Sonia costume is the best, music is boring tho

Finished yesterday and I think it's one of the best metroidvania to date. The game really leaves on your own and drops the linearity once you reach the Dracula's castle and you can do whatever you want.Plus the ending is not really "we must be better Belmonts" its literally about that there needs to be a balance between Light and Dark. That's what the entire true ending is about. You can't give in too much in one of them. That's the entire thing about it. It's even reflected in the final attack clashing between Dracula and Rose.
