For illusion decks, you're playing her as part of the Azamina engine where you set Deception of Sinful Spoils to seach Hallowed Azamina, or set Sinful Spoils of the White forest as another quick-play fusion spell to summon Guardian Chimera. For Dark Magician and ROLAD decks, Diabellstar puts a huge strain on the opponent's defenses by not only setting Deception to set up for an early Silvia, but also contact fusing herself into Dark Magician of Destruction to search Gaze of Timaeus and fuse Dragoon. This play will get even better when Dark Magical Curtain comes out.Save those gems for alternate art Diabellstar. She is getting rerun next year when White Raven comes to Master Duel.

Plus rank 2 XYZ's go pretty crazy. But all the weak monsters on the field, so what?Well, they have a variety of very powerful (but under utilized) effects that make them stronger than you might think. Their field spell swaps attack and defense so now they're 1000 monsters which is nothing but the amount of crazy low defense monsters printed now a days would surprise you, plus their fusions Ojama Knight and Ojama King are 2500 and 3000 defense which is legitimately strong, and their new(er) Link monster gets 3000 attack while Ojama Country is on the field. Plus they have an extremely powerful effect of blocking monster card zones and that was SO good that Kashtira's were tier 0 for that same ability. Plus they are given some of the strongest archetypal support ever. Green Yellow and Black on the field lets you use Ojama Delta Hurricane which destroys all cards your opponents controls, Ojamagic lets you add them to your hand, Ojama Pajama is a crazy strong search card, Ojama Duo let's you summon any 2 ojamas straight from your deck (not once per turn). So, how does the deck really work? Well ideally you would use red to bring green black and yellow to field, use ojama delta hurricane, and try to attack for game.They are not strong but they have surprisingly strong support cards that can get into some silly shit and I love them to death

Because rotation isn't a thing, you can't just pick most random old packs and build something with them. It's fantasticAnd Emperor is probably the best card in the archtype letting you SS any ojama from grave, is a 3000 beater provided you have Country, and also if country gets destroyed and he becomes 0 attack again, it reflects battle damage to the opponent. I've won games off Emperor alone easily, plus the best actual strategy for winning with Ojamas is getting Emerpor on board and then cashing all 3 Duo's in grave to spam Ronin Racoon Sandaiyo to flood your field with 3k tokens. If you wanna say these cards didn't make Ojama's meta relevant go right ahead but as for support the "play style" ojama's currently have, they're both insanely good
