Its a skill and choice thing, there are a lot of ways to not get hit from good movement and positoning etc.
And for choice you need to pick a map thats either suitable for you or pick a lower level map that you can comfortably make money at. If you keep rushing for higher level better xp spots then you'll be paying for it literally.

You have no choice but to train on low level mobs you can 1hit or 2hit. I tried lupins at that level and went negative 100k. I was lucky to find kumbis to keep my grind going but only now at 50 can I go positive at lupins. So at 44 if you want to make meso go to evil eyes you wont get ksed by sins there.
