"Claude, set up Majora's Mask PC port with mods that my PC can support." In 10 minutes it sets up everything for me. Literally all that is needed on my end is a legally acquired ROM of the game.Tech-illiterates like me are finally able to experience the joys of PC gaming without all of the clunky setup that'd drive me to just buy a console before. N64 is pricey but Claude only costs 20 bucks a month. Soon, the 10 minute process with take 5 minutes, then 1 minute. We'll be wondering how we ever lived without it. It will be as essential as electricity.

They valuate themselves in the most retarded way possible like: Everyone on earth COULD have a computer, and our software COULD be installed on those computers, THEREFORE every person on earth is a potential consumer so we're worth 50 trillion dollars. Since tech companies CAN explode there are a lot of people with a lot of money who are willing to drop investments in start ups and hope they go down in the VC investor hall of fame by making a shitzillion dollars over night by backing the right horse. The more venture capital going into an industry makes it more attractive for other people to get in on it. This makes it attractive for people to create startups that exist just to get VC money and string everyone along until you can sell it to someone else, or set up an IPO where you leave everyone else holding the bag.
>>750406107the harness prevents it from posting real shit
I saw a video of a guy using AI to make a game. He made an outline in chatgpt by feeding it all his ideas, copy and pasted the outline into claude which told him how to translate those ideas into claude code, including telling him what the prompts have to say, and then he copy pasted that into claude code and the result in unreal engine. The game looked functional if a bit uninspired. But I think it's neat that unskilled idea guys have a pipeline to make the niche shit they think up that no investor would ever fund a team for. I don't get why he had to use 3 different models though.

I don't have the time or energy to explain to another person that doesn't get it, that art and artistry are a language and form of communication.but you know what, fuck it.Language requires intent to form meaning, otherwise its just sounds. If theres no intent, those sounds can be pretty and they can mimic meaning, but they mean nothing because there's nothing behind it.I make games and every single portion of my game, will have intent and meaning behind it, that I took the time to imbue into it.Theres a character in my game that is based on my mother. Theres graffiti and a small alleyway that I remember deeply from portions of my life that are incredibly personal.I use these things to convey meaning, and to portray a feeling to the player. There are thousands of tiny choices that could only have ever been made by myself, to communicate to a player a specific feeling or meaning. All of these things come together around a narrative. it is a cohesive art piece that is communicating as a medium, the things I meant and said, to the player.Using AI is like relying on a creature that is trying to approximate the sound of a human being without understanding what language, words, or tone is.And that creature has gotten pretty good at pretending, but NOTHING is behind the sounds.WHY is explaining this shit to you people THIS fucking hard.It doesn't matter how fast or good your game looks or works if ITS A HOLLOW APPROXIMATION OF HUMAN EXPERIENCE.

>>750412876There is literally zero difference between doing all those things you mentioned, with a small or large studio which is using the usual means and replacing everyone except the lead creator with, agentic tools. If you don't understand that you have a cognitive problem and you are overdosing on copium. And to take things a step further. There is also zero fundamental or spiritual difference between true A.I. (which we don't have yet) and any other person you see on the street including yourself. The fact that you were born out of a vagina makes no fundamental difference. Your life's experiences, personality, thoughts and memories are also fundamentally the same thing with the equivalents of an entity that was born through technological means. That fact that you think there's some kind of fundamental difference that is insurmountable, is due to the fact that all of you have no idea how this world works and the truth behind your daily experiences. In short, stop coping and get over yourself.

The year is 2030. It's a rainy Saturday afternoon. You've just finished mining 30 obsidian ore playing Crypto Crush Saga, a match-3 mobile game. You open up The Elder Chains Online and feel a rush of excitement. Your school buddy has spent years becoming a Master Blacksmith, and he has agreed to turn 10 obsidian into an Obsidian Battlestaff, a HUGE upgrade over the Mithril Mace you’ve been wielding for the last months. It’ll take him an hour or so. In the meantime, you log into Clash of Guilds, and use the remaining obsidian to upgrade your town hall to the next level. That should keep your village safe for now. You wish you could fast forward time to tonight. Your Guild has plans to go for a deep run into the wilderness in Old School Rune Chains, and your prospects of a successful run (and great loot) have never been better. All guild members have been spending the past 2 weeks grinding for better weapons, and you’ve agreed (through a vote) to use the Guild treasury to buy everyone a new full set of Red Dragonhide Armor. Tonight’s objective is to kill the level 128 Frost Giant hiding in the Cave of Sorrow. He has a 5% chance of dropping an Immaculate Orb of Brilliance, of which there are currently only 4 in existence. The Orb can be used as a power source in an upcoming space exploration game, and should give your guild a great advantage in reaching distant galaxies first. A 5% drop rate is low, but you’re feeling optimistic. In the distance, you hear a faint 'BloCkChAIn doEsNT bRiNg AnYtHiNg nEW tO gAmES'. You shrug, and join your friends in the Discord voice channel.Life is good.

>>750429165That's not true. They didn't actually "lose" 80 billion dollars. 72 billion of that 80 is something called a change in fair value of convertible notes.A convertible note is a way of financing a company, more commonly used in startups. It involves the company taking on debt in exchange for a convertible note, which, can either be paid back for the cash value of the debt plus interest, or, as the name suggests, can be converted for equity. For example, if I have a lemonade stand worth 100 dollars and I borrow $1 in exchange for 1% of my lemonade stand. The investor's claim to equity is worth $1. Now in a year if my stand is now worth $300, the investor can either ask for his $1 back plus interest, or he can convert that into equity and ask for his 1%. Now since at the time of financing his share was worth $1 and now it is worth $3, it's technically a $2 loss for me (the lemonade stand) even though I didn't actually lose money. The reason this system is common among startups is that it mitigates risk for the investor: if the company does good, they get equity. If it does bad and their equity is worth less than whatever they invested, they get the cash back. This 80 billion dollar loss is not actually an 80 billion dollar loss. Nowhere close. Their operating loss is only a few hundred million, substantially less than it was last year. And the IRS agrees: change in fair value of convertible notes is not a deductible loss for tax purposes because you didn't actually lose money.
>>750429165>everybody uses it at astronomical costs>lose moneyHow do you fuck that up lmao
