I wrote a Friendship Is Magic fanfiction in 2014 that got into the community's hall of fame and got the best writer in the scene to cheat on her wife with me. It wasn't very popular in the grand scheme of that site, but I recently came back to comedy writing with a 4chan post that got something like 3-4 million views across every social media site. I'm thinking I'm going to formally return to writing fanfiction soon alongside my big commercial project and see how popular that gets when I'm in my 30s and have no abusive parents or other mitigating factors hindering me.

It's full of lame attempts to be funny and sexy with non-punchlines, a messy and unlikable cast, and an honestly completely arbitrary story that focused on a relationship between an OC and a pony that I don't even care about that much who was done better in other stories.It was co-authored with a guy who I had a major falling-out with in 2016, briefly reconvened with in 2017, and haven't talked to since I got my first job. The entire final chapter is porn that I either didn't write or don't remember writing because I'm asexual and I was just doing what was expected of me at the time. I'm planning to do a full retake of it via a soft rewrite that stars a different character and has a more carefully considered structure, and I'm thinking I might write that as a companion piece to the big thing I'm working on. The bottom line is that I'm nostalgic, but it's just not worth it.
