I just recently played Dragons Dogma 1 after playing the DD2 dlc and I'm so sad to see how bad Dragons Dogma 2 is in comparison. It ruined my fun I had with the dlc.

The only chance for a functional vidya about this manga would be apart from the main story, like being a random adventurer exploring the dungeon
And not only that would be unappealing due to the dungeon itself being pretty generic (Kui was always taking general fantasy concepts to build her own setting) but also because, as expected, no one was gonna get interested if they're not interacting with the main characters

Set it before the manga.
Off on your own quest, you bump into characters from the manga as you explore, Senshi gets you into cooking monsters at the start. Ends with you finishing your quest and as you leave, you pass Laios' party heading into the dungeon which is heavily implied would lead into the manga starting.
