So is it true that healers in Dawntrail are the best they've ever been? We can all agree that the healer strike is silly and if you don't like healer, just don't play it. While there are flaws, it's still better than World of Warcraft which is way worse than FFXIV. I've been playing healer for hours a day for 11 years and I'm still having a blast. And even if you did have a problem, that's no excuse to be toxic towards the devs. Yoshi-sama has given us so many great things, especially considering that we'd be stuck in Shadowlands otherwise. Be grateful. I'll be happy to be a "scab" in this strike.

As far as I'm concerned it's all objectively upgrades that make the job a little more interesting.But the thing about healing is that it entirely depends on encounter design - for example:>Healing Aloalo Savage is a rewarding experience that requires you to efficiently plan out all of your personal cooldowns for the first 15 minutes of the dungeon. The damage going out is very high and you have no-one else to rely on but yourself - if someone dies due to poor healing it is a 100% guaranteed wipe.>Healing anything that is below Ultimate difficulty is extremely tedious since there's basically no damage going out that requires you to use your entire toolkit, and even if you fail heal checks you can just raise people afterwards as a safety net - the only time casual healing is fun is when your team is full of people who are repeatedly making mistakes.A further annecdote... I healed a Delubrum Reginae Normal 8-person dungeon just the other day, and while the damage going out was basically nothing, the amount of deaths going out (due to twice come ruin) meant I had to be on top of my game. If they increase the damage going out then it screws the most people over as healer becomes the largest failure point in a party. Currently, if your tank is bad the healer and dps can adjust. If they change it the first two remain the same but now if your healer is bad and the damage is increased more than dps and tank can handle then you're just fucked.
