Midra was a gigantic lost opportunity. Elden Ring does blatantly input read but I think they toned it down heavily for the DLC. I noticed it in a few spots (hitting after failed Bayle grab causes a follow up, Radahn will start a combo that can punish a hit if you try to sneak one in on one of his combos he ends early)It's in a much better spot in the DLC than it is in the base game

What the fuck is anyone even talking about input reading with healing? Most of the DLC bosses don't even react half the time to you chugging a flask at all. Radahn would even let me chug two so long as I wasn't in close range. They all just slowly walk towards you. I was actually surprised with how often you can just throw out a heal even when they aren't doing anything.
