I'm exploring options for a build that should remain untouched after the inevitable balance changes. Currently I'm most interested in the Smithscript Axe. with high AR and the ability to jump throw (faster than the standing throw), it's the best axe in the game right now for elemental damage (warped axe probably still better for physical). The jumping throw is way faster than you think it is and it's very good at punishing people at mid-range, and the backwards jump throw behaves like a backstep attack. very useful

So you can't have a Zweihander with Flaming Strike, but you can give yourself a +25 Zweihander with Sacred Blade or something. You could even just give yourself all the upgrade materials to make that weapon yourself including ashes.Whetstones are a bit iffy. I'm not sure how to add them. Though Grand Merchant and PVP Helper both add them in for you. But I can't seem to get it work through CE unless you use their specific unlocker. Which doesn't get you banned. But adding them yourself causes a weird error. Speaking of which, you can't get banned for that either unless you go online. So if you fuck up a character and give them an illegal item, just delete that character or revert the save. It's almost impossible to get banned in Elden Ring. There is a reason ER PVP on PC is FILLED with people spamming limited items or with 1000000 weapons of the same type.

at the last boss door. dlc was fun. the dungeons were cute but i dont think i struggled in any of them. bosses were fun. lots of broken weapons to have fun with. weakest part was the questlines. i was constantly irritated that something broke the quest.

this game looks fucking cool but the gameplay has absolutely degenerated to just memorization where animations convey absolutely nothing about what a move does or when it will hit since everyone just slides around with anime dashes and has a mix of wonky delays and lightning fast attacks and and endless array of magic projectile and aoe horseshit that can just do whatever it wants with 0 tell and bosses have like three times moves as any dark souls boss to memorize. then you sprinkle in a few flat out bad animations that look too similar to other moves or even just to the walking and turning animations, a few busted moves for a bunch of boss that just force you to take high damage and the game just becomes unfun, and making literally every fight have 2 phases so you have to waste 60 seconds before fighting the real boss and then having to do the phase 1 twenty times just to have a reasonable chance at learning all the random bullshit that they are going to do in phase 2 that almost one shots you from full health and is strung together in strings that last 20 moves. the game just starts to feel bad.

For enemies that cluster in a room and don’t want to budge Miquella’s light flash fries them or at least scares them out into the open, and if you’re really willing to be a turbo shitter you can spam blind spot or swift slash if none of them understands how to parry. Fire knight’s greatsword wins just about every trade and you can swing it unlocked, greatsword of damnation buys you time or outright kills anyone you hit on top of having a janky hitbox and fuck off aoe with hyperarmor for days you somehow miss. There’s plenty of options to engage in invasions, just a matter of your skill vs theirs and how dirty you’re willing to play.
