Penders should have just made his own story separately, maybe in whatever way he could since his own attempt at making the story he wanted failed until he started on Sonic. It's clearly not just echidna recolors. Even if the stories were bad, a lot of thought and heart were put into them and they clearly tried to be thought provoking despite being intended at children. That's why I can understand wanting to own them. Penders was wrong for suing Bioware though, and he was wrong on many things. But this lawsuit for his characters, that weren't even originally intended to be Sonic characters, this makes more than a little sense. I doubt that regular well adjusted people would be so selfish to just be greedy like that, they were standing up for fellow creators. I could understand a company being selfish since companies tend to be driven mostly by profits, so I support individual creators over the companies usually.Am I a Penders fan? No. But I think most people aren't bad like that, and it would be an awful coincidence if all the people working on Archie Sonic happened to be greedy like that. I just don't think that it seems likely for that to be the case.
