I posted a couple days ago about doing my placements. I got gold 5 today. 15-10 so far. Very happy so far.Moira is so easy, it's wild. I've been learning Illari and she's pretty tough but it's fun to shoot stuff. My actual favorite character is Mercy but I feel like Moira is better at brute forcing low elo matches which so far has held true. I am usually keeping up with dps on dealing damage and sometimes I'm even like second or third total in the lobby. My other most played are Winston and Rein so I'll probably play some tank ranked at a later date too.I know this is hardly unique and everyone experiences this, but it's frustrating that most of the losses I do have is because someone just had a mental breakdown and threw. I used to give this advice to my league of legends buddies and it holds just as true in overwatch: if you are never the person who has a breakdown and you just control yourself and you always play evenly and properly, then statistically, the mental breakdown thrower has a higher chance of being on the enemy team, since there are 5 of them and only 4 potential mental breakdowns on your team. So the odds are in your favor as long as YOU are never the problem, which is the only thing you have control over.I'm having fun so far. I'm glad I decided to do this experiment. I don't really notice much of a difference in people's playstyle. Like I usually play quick play unranked and it's not like suddenly the game or people are different in ranked. So you may as well play ranked.

You also are expected to play 5+ games to move up a division, and that's if you win all 5. Meanwhile in Overwatch a round is like 10 minutes. So far, OW seems to respect your time a bit more, I've noticed fewer matches to move up a division, and the matches themselves are faster.

I've been instalocking Mercy in quickplay for the past week to avoid having a dogshit Mercy onetrick as the other support (if you want it done right, do it yourself and all that).When the other support doesn't pick a character, I check the Social tab to see that they have one of the Rose Gold Mercy player icons / backgrounds equipped. I'm sure I don't need to tell you this since you're a smart and cool anon, but these players are such utter shite, /owg/. They never know which support to pick if their onetrick is already locked, they're not even good at the support they do end up picking (most of them gravitate to Lifeweaver to healbot) and half the time they leave the game after a couple of deaths.I wonder what type of gay shit these people are typing into the chat when they see I won't let them have Mercy.
