The grind gets bigger and bigger the more you advance until you are able to complete all Another story chapters and the main story, after which the main game actually starts because you unlock Ultimate units, extremely powerful units that make power up certain affiliations, but can still be used in a mixed deck.After unlocking all this shit you can finally get to the best part of the game: Making a deck and playing online, be it for fun or for ranks. There are a lot of metaniggers but most people just play their favorite affiliation. I've sinked around 20 hours on this now. You could consider "Hell" difficulty stages as a form of post-game content because you need both an extremely optimized deck for each particular level and the skill to pull strats off plus a bit of luck.There are no microtransactions, you can get and max out every single unit in the game just by playing, which is easily the best thing about the game compared to the original. I played the gacha for most of its lifetime and I can say I'm enjoying it a lot despite its shortcomings. TL;DR: Very grindy, high difficulty, no microtransactions, main appeal is online battles, very enjoyable if you liked the original gacha or like newgrounds-esque sprite battles with shit going crazy all over the screen.

If you get lucky and like the character's gameplay you can try going for the weapon or just wait for the rerun to grab it.
