Radahn should have healed on hit anytime his weapon made contact with a shield. Shields are way too strong against him, it's a braindead strat.

just beat radahn by only dodging and hitting him with carian slicer. Took me way longer to learn him then malenia. I can't say he is harder because so many builds trivialize him, but he is definitely harder to dodge than malenia. Coupled with the obscene lack of visual clarity on phase 2 i just cant say this is a good boss at all. I did some testing on bleed weapons using the merchant mod, because I was curious about how to optimize my non-modded bleed build. What I found out is that Rivers of Blood is either bugged or absolute trash - the weapon art actually doesn't give you any more bleed than mashing R1 does. Reduvia is the fastest base-game bleed weapon assuming you can land the WA, but it's not consistent.Dual-wielding bleed weapons is not significantly better than using only one - it usually requires one fewer button press but that assumes all the individual slashes hit.Eleonora's Poleblade is only useful 2H for inflicting bleed, and the WA is useless.Bloodfiend Arm is the most consistent bleed, but isn't necessarily the fastest.

I am so glad that I was Scadu level 13 for the Messmer fight. This game is not fucking responsive enough for the bullshit the bosses throw at the player. Messmer's health was at "Base" in "Base Serpent Messmer," he turns into a serpent, hits me with the first attack, hits me with the second attack, I am furiously trying to press buttons while he is winding up the third attack, nothing comes out, and I get hit and die. 10 Estus flasks left. If FromSoft is going to add 50 hit boss combos, no staggering, roll catchers, heal catchers, gap closing attacks, etc., at least the controls should match.

It's kind of a crutch desu but a pretty cool one for Str/Faith builds.Brass Shield is the go to for shields, it's a nice safe, boring choice that is the best in its class that you can slam a "no ash" on or maybe it comes with "no ash" I don't remember. You want that "no ash" though so you can spam your bb ash more efficiently without needing to two hand.

I thought it was weird seeing some random ass soldiers using ashes of war and flesh dudes jumping out of nowhere without warning, so I've toggled stealth mode with cheat engine just to check if they jump because I aggroed them or some other thing. And the conclusion is they still jump even without aggro: aka they are scripted.However, some enemies are just placed in hidden spots though. And aren't scripted to automatically jump on you no matter what, example being the guy just waiting to jump on you right next to the storehouse first floor site of grace (pic related).

You could also use the glorious merchant mod instead, if you just want to buy armour/weapons/items, its basically the same thing except actual CE gives you more niche options like grace activations on top of that. Luciteal is pretty good throughout the dlc and basically tanks like a mother fucker in the base game (eats shit to rhaddan because of his dps and holy damage because she's undead). I've heard good things from the forge golem but haven't tried him out yet but I heard he's the tankiest of all. My favorite personally is the black knight you can get from the first catacomb. Unironically my goat and carries my ass against rhaddan 2nd phase.

Messmer, Rellana, and Dancing Lion are the only good bosses in the DLC. And of these only Dancing Lion had a somewhat decent OST, and even that paled in comparison to BB or DS3.WTF is going on at this company?
