Inconsistent effects - the ground crumble effect used on his stomp and pulling his weapon out of the ground are the same and usually indicate grounded attacks but you can jump the stomp while not being able to do so for the weapon pull.8. Height jank with the uneven arena is rife which causes unintended interactions and random whiffs9. Uneven moveset. Some moves can oneshot you and have no hurtbox while others like Miquella's Light, his grab or his tornado gravity gapcloser are easy to avoid and have gigantic punish windows which both encourages AI abuse and makes winning feel overly dependent on 'lucky patterns'. If Radahn spammed the 1-2-cross slash the fight is artificially much harder than one where he spams grabs.

Unlike good fights (Gael) Radahn has very few audio cues to denote specific combos, which would have been a great way to make up for the visual mess.17. Not a consistent direction for Radahn's dive which is a fucking terrible way to implement an attack that kills you if it hits.

I killed Messmer, made my way to burn the tree, fought all the way to Leda and her companions, but never explored the whole Central/North Eastern third of the map. It feels like the Leda fight is endgame but I'm curious if I can complete other NPC "Miquella companions" quests. Or, since I started the fight, those are locked.I found one way that seems to lead to the Central/North Eastern part of the map. However, it almost feels antithetic to my "continue an exploration path before trying another", since this whole dlc I've stuck to one path till I found the end. I actively avoided the Black Keep since that seemed the way to go, but figured the last Central/North Eastern part of the map would come after. But again, I feel like I'm at the last few bosses with this fight.Can anyone tell me, without spoiling how close I am to the ending, if there's another way to the Central/North Eastern part of the map or if I found the one entrance (that being dropping down from Moorth Ruins). The biggest difference is that everybody (including faith builds) will default to the carian thrusting shield which I didn't want to do because look at it. It's fucking ugly (with the crucible knight set).The regular dueling shield only barely eeks out in a very small amount of fights. Not even every fight where it's absorption matters, e.g; carian is still better for mesmer due to how absorption works on high faith builds with access to Pearl Greatshield and Dragonbolt of Florissax.But the regular dueling shield will still just casually save your fucking life if you have to raw block on Radahn even if you now have half as many openings with that shield as you did before and you'll just have to eat turtle meat and put the turtle shield on your back to make up the difference.TL;DR if you used the regular dueling shield before patch, just use the Carian Dueling Shield, you won't notice a difference (besides the 5 points you now give up in INT tax)

Mathematically, there is no reason to level any higher. 50 STR (or DEX or FTH or INT or 45 ARC) is the point after which your damage will increase at most by 10-12% up to 99 points. After 40 VIG, your HP gains are so low it's laughable. You still die from 7 longsword R1s, even if you increase from 50 to 60 VIG. No reason to level Mind - the best spells and incants have single-digit FP cost. Endurance points are only needed to achieve mid/light roll - stamina gains are very bad, and stamina recovery speed is much better anyway. For caster builds, again no reason to level DEX, as you can achieve 70 vdex by equipping a talisman and a special offhand staff.
