I actually liked longer expansions with content droughts. So with the prepatch date announced and TWW right around the corner I see everyone celebrating the new content and while I'm really excited and happy for the new stuff I also find myself a bit concerned.Maybe I'm just weird but I actually liked having longer patches and especially long end of expansion lulls where I could just screw around both in WoW and out and still not feel like I was at risk of missing something. I actually really wanted to try out SoD but found I never had the time for it because I was too focused on doing seasonal retail content (and other real life things) and by the time I was done with those the next patch was around the corner. Meanwhile during BFA and SL I had a lot of fun playing classic because the respective gaps in content allowed for that.I'm also kind of worried about the faster content release cycle Blizz has planned. I feel like DF was them experimenting with this and a lot of the content in DF came off as vapid and got boring really quick (pretty much every clock based event other than the soup and time rifts and even then I got bored of those eventually).
