Is there any way to make weapon blocking viable? This is why rot breath doesn't work well with the build.

Why would Bloodborne have lots of spells in it? The combat is all about the trick weapons, and besides that the setting really doesn't lend itself to wizard shit. It's Victorian gothic horror, not high fantasy. All the cosmic horror stuff and hunter tools that mimic spellcasting that you could argue would be the closest thing to what you're talking about doesn't reveal itself until well into the game, it would be completely out of place to have some caster "starting class". Bloodborne is all about dark alchemy, not shooting magic arrows out of your hands. It would be thematically out of place.

I went into the DLC with an int build, and i feel like the DLC was designed to counter int builds. lots of the bosses are resistance to magic, they all have attacks designed to punish ranged attacks, they all attack constantly and barely give you any space to breathe or drink flasks. I've actually found that on some bosses, it's easier to get hits in close with a weapon than it is to actually get your distance long enough to get off spells. There's such a stigma about casters, like it's easy mode, but honestly, i think bonking people with dual str weapon jump attacks is the real easy mode.
