KH style action with ATB bars. It's not that hard. Not sure why they didn't figure that out in Versus XIII/XV and why Remake project still doesn't have a working jump button. XVI action is almost there, but it's lacking the entirety of the RPG aspect that's required to make it work. And without ATB bars, the skill cooldowns basically neuters any kind of legitimacy the system might have.

If you absolutely must know Glenn's gacha story, just watch videos. It's not worth playing.

Why didn't they show Clive's sufferings after he was enslaved by the empire? For him, the events shown in the game to the player after the prologue are light at the end of a long dark tunnel, because he meets one friend after another, they help each other and everything sugar and rainbows. But for the player, who has to imagine the horrors that happened to Clive, the whole beginning of the story looks like one serious bad incident followed by an innofensive cute journey, with convenient plot events happening one after another. This is strange. I dunno, does not play into the dark serious setting and characterisation of the protagonist that much.

GTA5, Spiderman, Witcher 3, Tsushima, Horizon all did really well on PS4.And on the non-PS4 front, Zelda was in a similar spot to FF around the same time where it felt like the franchise was slipping but then bam. Modern open world structure, best selling in the franchise.
