At the risk of being an old man shouting into the wind, it's honestly pretty lame how easy BG3 is relative to other cRPGs. It's also a pretty huge shame that there really isn't much pushback against said ease, and it's kinda become accepted in the BG community that if you want a challenge, you have to play with a pretty extensive self imposed ruleset. It makes me concerned for the future of the genre desu. It was a hard fight to bring cRPGs back, against the flood of casual aRPG slop that dominated the late 7th and early 8th console generation, but now I'm concerned that casuals might dictate the flow of the cRPG subgenre now, when it's historically been a haven for more hardcore RPG gameplay.
