If you know where the monster is going and when it'll get there, it doesn't matter how fast it is because you'll already be there ready to hit it when it arrives. Which means minding your spacing and not mashing so you have time to position yourself. But also this is the kind of thing status is for. Every status is effective for monsters that move nonstop. Poison will ensure you're still doing damage even when the monster runs away, paralysis should be obvious, and sleep immobilizes the monster as well for sleep bombing. Even better if you bring a blunt weapon with status as you can KO and exhaust the monster as well. So in short:-bring traps -bring a status weapon -practice proper positioning and timing

I remember there being a button in the monster list that does nothing on the PC version but that doesn't exist on the switch version. Then you hear all these complaints from PC players about sos on PC while I've never had an issue with multiplayer on switch. Based ichinose sticking it to PC players. It's probably because they started forcing stuff on ichinose mid development and some stuff got overlooked on PC. Focus strikes give you free 100+ damage and automatically refill resources on every weapon with a meter and wounds proc every 20 seconds so gameplay devolves into spamming focus strikes at every available moment and completely ignoring positioning. Overall gameplay is massively easier than even Rise. Despite how lenient gameplay is and how many crutches the game freely throws at you, the enemy monsters are slower and easier than ever. Of the available demo monsters, only Doshaguma poses anything even resembling a challenge. Most of Chatacabra's attacks won't even flinch you and deal no damage. Despite apparently being the 5th or 6th strongest monster in the entire release game, Ray Dau can only attack directly in front of itself and has 4 second cooldowns after each attack.

Compared to CB I feel like swaxe actually swaps around more although that depends on what version of swaxe you are using and if you care about max dps.If you just want to have fun you can flow into all sorts of transforming combos.CB transforms but from personal experience it feels more based on charge up keep managing all amped states, since swaxe that takes a bit more of backseat, so it's more simple in that regard.
