Tarkov's biggest failing in that context is AI. Even if they got some kind of interaction system going like what they've got the bones of now, AI as it exists in Tarkov (not considering SPT for the moment) is just robots wandering around extremely rigid scripted areas. You'd never get the feeling of a living world while that remains as it is.
SPT mods go a lot further in making AI feel 'alive', but BSG themselves would have to do it and they've shown they just can't.

The throat hitbox being instant death is an objectively terrible change and does nothing but make it easier for low skill spraying at chest level to luck someone a kill regardless of their gear. The highest level of throat armor in the game is level 3 soft armor and even mid tier trash ammo will instantly pen it. Don't pretend that this doesn't benefit Chads, too, who all run high rof low recoil spam cannons. It's extremely frustrating to die to it. At least the face hitbox can be covered with face shields. I'm dying to random AI scavs with makarovs through a bush or well geared pmcs who let recoil and luck serve them better than skill. It's a poor balance to increasing the size of plate coverage. Running lighthouse daytime practice mode is helping a lot actually, I'm learning it's actually somewhat possible to get into WTP as a bear once you understand that only 2-3 machine gun nests are what gives them eyes over the whole plant. Once those ones specifically are taken care of you're home free. Just gotta keep eyes on them.

Question: if it's foggy as fuck and I can't see more than 100m, is the rogue's sight still totally unaffected and they can dome me just as easy?

Wish that I could recommend That's Lit, but it always hogged too many resources & ruined framerate.

I enjoyed SPT for a while, but the novelty eventually wore off. The loot is too good & there's no adrenaline for me vs bots - sometimes they do creepy shit or jump around a corner like a player, but ultimately their pathing is too predictable & most of the time they're retarded even w/ mods. Really wish PVP had the Visceral Dismemberment and either GTFO or Dynamic Maps though.
