Other stats don't matter except int because meteor staff.towards mid game you softcap health so you don't points afterwards to put into other statsin midgame you can hardcap health but still have points in endurance which can hit it's first cap so there's still build variety yet because even there endurance it lets you have huge poise which makes you defeat who didn't. but you can put the same amount of points that you put into endurance into something else which makes this have at least 5 builds. There's some diversity there. you can split the points as well which makes it interesting. This is probably what they had in mind. There's no reason to level past 80towards late game you can soft cap the damage stat but it doesn't change your gameplay much except make your builds primary weapons even stronger, I guess you can create some inefficient hybrids that get shit on by everyone by splitting your extra points but you have already achieved close to max tankiness by level 80. You should be able to use everything you need without stat boosts like soreseals in the late game and ultra lategame you can shit out absurd amounts of damage but you've reached max strength unless your hybriding a lot which makes you 25% weaker than those who didn't. At this point you shouldn't level further because nothing changes except the cherry on top. ultra ultra lategame has no reason to exist but reddit, elon musk, game journalists and YouTube push the level further for no reason at all until everyone can do everything and there's no diversity

In fact its cool to find new stuff on repeated playthroughs, like that one dungeon that plays mind tricks with layouts or the teleport chest altus tomb.Elden Ring is the kind of game where you make a checklist and beeline between the points that you actually need, then progress and sometimes sidetrack just for the joy of arpg combat, because honestly ER has far better RPG/build brewing elements than its predecessors IMO, so its fun to benchmark your current build against various stuff at times. ER is also the game that kind of rewards "sequence breaking" the most, i.e. making a prisoner character and fighting Caelid Deathrite Bird as your first boss, which I personally find appealing because I like banging my head against oneshot bosses I'm too early to fight. Thats also the reason why I do everything up to Central Pthumeru the moment I lay my hand on Chalices after BSB.

They sit at 150 too of course, but you're maximizing your match-up against them and avoiding the other two entirely. >>507133472I can't tell if they've made the crafting more bloated-- like the player needs to break down materials in order to make various shit like firepots. So I had to breakdown the mushrooms into a powder and breakdown the fire butterflies into another type of powder material and then mix those together once I had enough of each. I need to play with it more but I immediately just felt it was extra. I'm not sure if the materials are useful alone or if everything needs to be broken down first. Also I noticed that spirit summons don't pull aggro at all. Which I feel a bit weird about just because I always felt like their whole point was to distract the boss. So I can't really do any longer animation spells or charged attacks for fun. The bosses are more like a normal 1v1 boss fight with the spirit summon chasing the boss around from the back while the boss completely ignores it the entire time. It's just a bit silly.Aside from that I just got annoyed with the controls. Because RMB + Left click now lets you attack with your offhand weapon/shield (yes you can smack enemies in the face with an offhand shield lmao. And yes you now can block with any offhand weapon lmao) and it also lets you do normal right hand weapon r1s while dual wielding. But it also makes guardcounters more annoying to perform. I'm sure I'll get used to it but I've accidentally smacked bosses in the face with an offhand shield instead of guard countering so many times. You have to let go of block and then do heavy attack to guardcounter. I'm hoping I'll feel better about these changes as I play because there is a lot of other cool thigns in the mod so far. Oh also prettty sure its running off an older version of eldne ring so all of the heavy attacks are super fucking slow, which feels awful.

Steam Deck is actually running this shit pretty well. I tweaked the graphics so everything lighting related and the grass are at high/max and everything else as low as possible and I'm holding steady with high 30s FPS on average. Even spikes up to 50+ if I'm doing a dungeon or something, I'm fairly impressed.
