When they, those traps aren't usually Continuous Traps. TCG hitting floodgates is a good thing, but it also gives players less reasons to think about maining backrow removal. Even against decks that rely on Continuous Spells or Fields as part of their engine, hand traps are just better because you can use them going second. Typhoon exists, but it hits less cards than something like Ghost Ogre.
