What do you guys think of the idea that Metal Sonic and Sage should have a big brother/little sister dynamic? I think it has the potential to add an interesting layer to their characters. Sage would admire Metal Sonic's robotic excellence and unyielding tenacity, yearning for connection and seeing him as a guiding older brother. Her need for companionship contrasts with Metal Sonic's view, where he sees any alliance - including with Eggman or Sage - as a purely strategic decision. And Sage would be a useful ally to keep close for his objectives, whether it's his guiding mission to surpass Sonic, or his personal ambition to rule over Earth himself. So Metal Sonic would treat her as his little sister, but it would be manipulative. I think that kind of dynamic offers plenty of potential for character exploration, character growth, and tension, particularly for Metal Sonic. And maybe, Sage would eventually understand the existential horror that is Metal Sonic's life, what he's feeling, and be the first person to care.
