It made sense for P5 to have a faceless crowd because the crowd/hoi polloi/general public was a character in the story was well. In reload, thankfully, there aren't any dialogue barks from the crowd. It makes the crowd feel kinda superfluous and just clutters the scene when it's clear from the intro cutscene that the Protag feels isolated and alone in the big city.TLDR, I think the faceless crowds were unnecessary and ruin the atmosphere of Tatsumi port island.
Clutter in terms of details or NPCs is only cool if you can interact with them in some way. Otherwise it's just something in the way of information that matters.

In comparison I don't feel like going from Reload to Golden is actually that bad, it's really just the graphical difference and the lack of baton pass, but P4 adds so much on top of that as well that you can see how the series had grown in P4, even coming from a modern remake.Basically they didn't want P3 to step on P4/5's toes and if they do a P4 remake they probably won't want to step on P5's toes either, so I wouldn't expect that to be too ambitious.

But you can 6 turn Nyx with them without even trying. Some shit has really bad replacements for the antiquies store which is very limiting. Half the fusion spells aren't in the main game, but they are in the DLC. Mostly since one of them breaks the game now due to how much critical hits were buffed. Some of the new events are good, some are ass. Akihiko got fucked over, different character now. A few cutscenes got improved, most got worse or actively drained of the emotional energy behind them. The new events harms the idea of the original group dynamics, but it's fine if you want to do meaningless activities with everybody. The guys got much better stuff outside of Aki than the girls. There is also a bunch of random stuff with the worse battle arenas (Episode Aigis fixes this), and a fuckload of missing animations (Due to the game using the P3P script.). There is also some removed items where they were replaced with weaker ones, item randomization/variations didn't come back until Episode Aigis.In my eyes it's mostly flawed to make the game more appealing to casual scum or to be cheap. Some of the stuff is good, the Strega stuff is mostly decent. But overall it's disappointing with the cut corners and lack of gameplay balance that remove a lot of stuff or changed it to something quicker to make. If you can play FES/P3P, do that. If you REALLY cannot play those games at all, then Reload is ok enough. You won't be getting the full experience if you do play Reload as the only P3 version, and it should have been.

OG Tarturus looks better in some floors too.Music sucks, but that's subjective outside the night theme being good.Flawed game overall. I haven't even mentioned Fuuka, who would honestly be fine if her theurgy didn't have the ability to restore SP to the party.The real reason why the game is broken is because of the overabundance of healing items, the fact that physical damage outpaces magic damage at all stages of the game (Getsu-ei is seriously the best offensive movie for a good chunk of the game), the ease of access to critical boosting skills (Apt pupil can be unlocked on a level 15 persona and that doubles the base crit rate of a move), the plethora of skill cards and the ease of duplication (this combined with manual skill inheritance makes it easy to optimize Personas). I think theurgies are a contributing factor, but there are a lot of reasons why this game is so easy and poorly balanced.

>>507750742Idk Yosuke is pretty cool to me. Before Naoto joins he is basically the voice of reason in the group. His story with Saki Konishi is pretty relatable and he is just a normal guy. The moment where he is seriously considering throwing Namatame in the TV and you have to talk him off the edge is easily the best dramatic moment in the game.
