I like the tower as a concept in tandem with an actual ranked mode because it will act as a mode where if I want to practice a certain matchup, I can go into celestial and look for someone playing that certain character and in most likelihood he'll at least be somewhere around my skill level. People talk about strive dumbing down everything but forget that burst affecting fullscreen effectively made burst baiting way harder for many characters ane homogized the difficulty properly.It's crazy to remember s2 HC and Asuka could just ignore burst entirely because their whole combo game relied on having the opponent suspended in the air too far for burst to hit, and getting burst puts them in their win con range anyway.Canadian burst was also really pathetic looking and punished someone too much for not predicting gravity scaling which can become random as fuck when RCs comes into 1 combo.

If combos had to be done faster somehow then I think it would help. Also I'll be trying to save my burst for a good moment and then I get wallstuck... like alright now the extra burst I get from that doesn't matter because I didn't get to burst + I have to deal with everything after wallbreak. Cool. This game seems like it has cool ideas like Burst or IB or FD or YRC but then implements them in a way that sucks to play with or makes them not matter.

It's unavoidable unless you're one of the characters that have options that can reach fullscreen in an instant like Faust scarecrow PRC. No other character in the game functions like that.
