I think poe2 gear should shift the weightings of modifiers.Necessary mods like movement speed on boots should be more common. But the higher tiers should be rare. So you're more likely to get the modifier *types* that you want, but the trouble instead comes with getting the highest tiers of modifier instead. Then less of your dropped loot would be completely worthless garbage that wasn't worth picking up, but the best loot would be still be relatively rare.Maybe also implementing a system of complementary modifiers being more likely to roll on an item. Like if a weapon had physical damage on it the next prefix it rolled would be more likely to be a physical damage modifier, but not necessarily a high roll. The point is you could cut out so much 'this isn't even worth picking up' loot mathematically without changing the ceiling of things.

>>521809835The only way to really do anything neat with conversion is if you have a high chaos damage base weapon or attack, since using elemental infusion cucks other elements but not chaos, I'm using the unique chaos spear that gives Infusion on consuming frenzy charges atm and it's kind of neat but it shouldn't be literally 1 item on 1 build in the game that works like that
