I have similar feelings to how Kotor 2 talks about Revan. I like rpgs were there are perks that have massive advantages and disadvantages that modify how you play, the outerworlds flaw system was really close but not quite there. Flaws should have been pickable from the starting screen since character creation is already kind of bare bones and also some flaws you would never pick for certiant builds and some flaws are barely even flaws for other builds, which brings me to my second point. Some flaws are effectively not even flaws depending on your build like for example pick related, if you go a science build you will have so much energy that it effectively doesnt matter that your mana recharges only 25% slower and even for a non-science build it will barley do anything it needed to be atleast 50%. alot of the flaws needed to be more extreme to actually effect your playstyle i did a playthrough were i accepted all flaws and I got most of them and kleptomania was the only flaw that really did anything.

There's a feat you can take to catch your companion up though, up to 4 levels. So it looks like to me, if you take that feat, at level 20 your mount will be level 18. Something to keep in mind in case you thought you could just take the one level to get the mount, it will get obliterated later if you do that.

>>546658119I mean just so you're crystal clear, if you go full in on the mounted class, by the endgame you'll be in level 20 territory with a level 12 mount, and that's if you don't take any other slayer or rogue levels.I don't advise new players to do multiclassing/dipping bullshit because it can be easy to shoot yourself in the foot, and often you aren't really getting a multiplicative advantage from the different classes or anything.If you're on Core it might be a challenge sometimes especially mid/late game. If you're on Normal though, go bananas, have fun and disregard all this.
