Except, and now this is going to be a challenge, don't burn yourself out on Chaos, because eventually there is going to be a new currency that drops during Chaos which you can use to buy upgrade materials from a brand new shop. So theoretically, you'll be able to "level up" your characters by doing Chaos runs, and unless it's a weekly cap or something, you could theoretically grind Chaos until you want to blow your brains out as a means of leveling all your units to max. I'm assuming it's going to be either a weekly limit or such a bad exchange rate that no one will actually do it though.
