It's sad that they build the intro of the Sky remake on the original and not on EVO's and even put more spoilers into it.The EVO opening had a much more, I think it's a stupid way to put it, melancholic overtone to it, but it appeals to a more mature audience and shows that the game is a story about human tragedy and deep love. I found it more fitting than the Disney-esque character slide show. When I played the original without having any clue what to expect (still consider myself fortunate) I didn't exactly feel invited, but the good script and (by the standards of that time) top-tier RPG experience saved it.I tend to dump games after an hour when I think it's not going to be a worthwhile experience.I also found the old optics to be positively plain and mature, with the isometric view putting an emphasis on the text. It's nothing I cry about but the remake feels a bit too colorful. Well at minimum Richard is almost the perfect NPC to help her find the heroine of the otome game. He'll have no idea what's up with her hunches, but really, who else but him to make up an excuse to get estelle and Joshua enrolled in jennis academy. why didnt they make kai a more substantive game if they knew they weren't gonna make a sequel for years? like 99% of everything that happens in kai is just setup or sequel bait for kai 2 and they knew it yet kai 2 is years away
