The technology/personnel/logistic in New Vegas (especially if you side with House) make all threats in the Mojave incidental and meaningless. There's nothing like that on the East Coast.

Why do deathclaws feel so lame in modern Fallout? In Fallout 1-NV they were legitimately scary, especially in Fallout 3 with the deathclaw town you can accidentally stumble into. Ever since 4, they feel like a joke. You kill one in the tutorial section and then the characters are able to run away from them in the show. In NV it felt like as soon as one spotted you, you were dead unless you had endgame weapons and a lot of stimpaks.

You can go North through Sloan too but that takes more RNG, if a Deathclaw sees you you're probably fucked. You can also go full bore into explosives/repair early, build a few satchels and bait the deathclaws into them. It will usually kill them and for sure will cripple both legs. Dart Gun does the same thing which makes avoiding them cake but that's harder to pull off early game.

Like it doesnt make any sense for the enclave to be able to come back and take over after they got so fucking destroyed in fo2. How do I make the Settlements shit, not shit?
Halfway through the Long 15 mod, and its pretty well put together. Better than I expected considering the last mod I tried was the Frontier (which I immediately uninstalled after getting consecutive cutscenes of some guy's NCR fanfiction followed by running around a boring hangar).There are some rough bits where the dialogue could be better written or structured, and some area design could be refined since exploring isn't as interesting as the vanilla game, but even the voice acting is okay. Most of the VA on the mod isn't bad with only one or two dipping into cringe territory thus far.
