Am I the only one who think playing melee in PoE2 is just the worst thing ever?I'm not talking about damage and/or defenses although that's certainly a part of it but every time I play melee and I get some "trail of ice" elites or a rare with temporal bubble I just want to fucking smash something.This is especially apparent in the early game when melee characters are slow as shit moving and attacking.When I enter a vaal temple and I get those big forge guys and they either have the hinder aura or the cold explosion things or temporal bubble it's just like what even is the point of playing.I wouldn't be so assmad about it if it was painful for ranged and casters too but it's not. /pooegg/ers want a new AAA Ritualesque experience from every league every 2 months and that's just not realistic. Kingsmarch, mercenaries, and Zana+Sirus' sekrit child storyline were all fragments of 4.0 which was canceled when one game two campaigns was introduced 500 years ago. No meaningful work has been done on PoE 1 since. Despite that, PoE 2 is still 4 years from being ready for release and they're panic releasing it in 2027 just to pull off the band-aid. We know from GGG's open positions that Jonatroon still codes all new mechanics himself because Zaccie is so disgusting that he forced all of GGG's other devs to quit.A fragmented codebase that nobody at GGG besides Jonathan understands, no vision, and two dead games are all we have to look forward to. Doommaxxing is the only viable entertainment strategy going forward.

Why do people seem to dislike keepers so much? Not trying to defend it, I'm fairly new to poe1 and found the tree pretty cool + most encounters (not fortress) fun enough. People said loot was shit on really hard in keepers patch I guess? It was pretty rough but I assumed that was poe1 in general due to the difference in rarity
