Sometimes the monster Gotrek slayed was actually the victim, sometimes the girl Felix romances is actually the villain, sometimes the supporting cast member is actually much deeper than usual, that kinda thing.I think their real biggest strength is just how much they let you glimpse into what life in the Warhammer setting is like from an actual ground perspective. Felix comments a whole lot on the places they go through and the people they meet and their ways of life. He also serves as a way for the reader to realize the whole "eternal war and slaughter" aspect of Warhammer is not actually a universal constant and there's peace in many places, because most of his arc is getting surprised at the brutality and violence he encounters while adventuring and how it's changing him in contrast with how relaxed and peaceful he was before and how most people in the Empire just don't see the kind of shit he experiences.

Skrag must recruit beasts and use Slaughtermaster generic lords.Zhao Ming should focus on utilising melee units to crush his foes.
