I did it sub 2 pretty easily with aerial Hammer and aerial GS but struggle to get A rank after aerial GS was nerfed. I think you can pull it off solo still with DB but you need good RNG and to stay on the head 100% of the time.

You want max cats anyway for the best ingredients (aka best buffs) Best meals are milk and drink (kirin cheese and brew) for full health and stamina or meat and vegetable for 40 extra health and a damage boost. Technically you could use less cats and you'd get worse buffs but you'd spend less on meals and depending on the info level of your cats they'd be more likely to give you free items and info about game mechanics when they're on break but honestly you already get so much free shit from your palico and the farm that I've never really needed to bother with that. I guess it might be useful if you play dual blades or something because you can probably get dash juice more easily that way but I haven't tried. It's not too surprising they just simplified the fuck out of the food system in future games because it's honestly a lot of moving parts

Just "beat" Zorah Magdaros and so far the hardest monster has been Tobi Kadachi. That fucker moves too fast and too often and he always does this circle thing, so I constantly have to chase after him not only with my weapon but also the camera. Anjanath and even that little battle with Nergigante went smoother than Tobi Kadachi. I also realized I've been getting kinda nearsighted? i think thats the word. But I go to a fight and duke it out, as opposed to using any of the tools the game has given em and I guess it's because I'm in the moment. I'm sure i wouldn't be haivng such a difficult time if I used a pitfall trap or some flashbangs every now and then. So far, Hunting Horn has been the most fun for me. Insect Glaive confuses me, even in the training grounds. Bow is the most boring though. Thinking about trying out one of the crossbows and the gunlance but both seem very one-note.

Been doing a playthrough of MHGU on Ryujinx with everything running fine until I get to the "Research Team's First Rodeo" village quest. After hunting the Conga you've supposed to get the warning screen with a cutscene showing Valstrax but everytime the hunt ends and the warning appears the game sits on a black screen and doesn't continue. No crash no freeze just hangs on a black screen with no way to continue. Ryujinx console spits out an audio error and I've tried dozens of supposed fixes with no results. Anyone ran into this issue or know a fix? Running firmware version 17.0.1 on game version 1.4.0

The Wilds story is kind of shit bros, I got to the guardian/ Wyveria reveal and I'm genuinely shocked they were stupid enough to go with this plot. Boys, I made it to High Rank. The pukei-pukei seemed a lot more aggressive and hit real hard, but I got him. Still rocking the Hunting Horn, the buffs are nice and the constant knock-downs really help out. But trying to buff myself with this new aggression is a death sentence. Tried the bowguns, didn't like either one of them, quite frankly. Too much busy-work in menu's I suppose. Now that i have access to HR, is there an armour set I should get ASAP?
