It takes someone who's mentally wired differently to leaderfag long-term.
On top of having to be generally amicable you have to constantly walk around with a target on your back.

If you ask any "ex-leaderfag" (who didn't have an open crash out), they're gonna say something along the lines of "all the negativity/thread goblins got to me".
It eats away at you because you can't entirely discount the fact that someone ranting about you in the thread could actually be someone you consider a friend.
