The leveler and solo silo can one hit a vox based on some voodoo of the explosion hitting multiple parts or damage stacking on the vents. This almost feels like unintended behavior. Additionally, these "answers" are on long cooldowns and only deal with a single vox each. When vox spawn in numbers you need to hope your teammates also brought the meta answers or your group will struggle. It is also mega bullshit that the upper rotating body of the vox can look down, clip into itself, and cover up the grenade vents if you want to attack them through that route.In short, the vox do not present a skill challenge and are instead just a dumb "apply meta answer or suffer" enemy that can spawn in numbers that will overwhelm your ability to apply said meta answer.

Locations recover a percentage of their health every hour. This means you need a certain amount of damage being done at a certain rate to make forward progress. When you combine a large health bar and a large recovery rate, like on Transcendence, it becomes a fucking brick wall that nobody wants to deal with. Joel regularly uses this to make doing things other than what he wants effectively impossible.
