Slap a cool pair of shoes on her and adjust her design a tad to be more in line with Obol Squad and change the animations to be solely (heh) focused on mech piloting and you've got yourself a decent 7-8/10 character. Honestly, season 2 wasn't that bad. I'd even go so far as to say that it was overall better than season 1. The stories between chapters connected better and we had more of a reoccuring cast of main players than season 1 where groups like SoC, Belobog, and Victoria Housekeeping took an immediate backseat. In season 2, we're introduced Yunkui Summit, the Defense Force, and TOPS and they stay a constant presence throughout the story. The only one who really disappeared midway was Damian and I guess Spook Shack kind of inserted itself out of nowhere. I also think Shunguang is one of the most intriguing characters I've come across in a gacha game. Her conflict felt just right and I'm satisfied with how the game took its time to explore both the side that wants to live on and the side that understands her duty even at the cost of her own life. This isn't an entirely unique story but the way its presented here is one of the few times I sympathized with the character and went "Yeah, I'd understand why you'd want to leave your duties behind. Dying that way sucks bad." I also enjoyed how the new map exploration. It reminded me of all those PS2 action games I used to play that had pretty similar level design that ZZZ went for. Lastly, my favorite thing is how combat improved so much that it's almost unrecognizable. I love characters with their own parries. I how the miasma phases makes you think ahead about how you want to manage your ults and skills. I love how the way to break misama shields the quickest is through counters and evades, rewarding responsive actions against aggressive enemies. Maybe my only criticism is that the screen gets so cluttered with visual effects sometimes that it gets hard to read enemy actions. Overall, if I give season 2 a 9/10. One of the best stretches for a gacha game I've experienced so far.

I'd like to take a quick second to thank the Angels of Delusion for finally ridding me off this game. Not because the Idols are bad. They're great and the best thing to happen in half a year. However their release made it really sink in how terrible this game is now thanks to the China arc. The highlight of 5 entire patches was a fucking Bangboo you slap away right before the "real" final boss of the arc. The story was uncreative, the characters are borderline AI generated, the writing is terrible, they fumbled an entire faction that was teased since 1.0 (Obol Squad), the power creep is ramping up faster ever patch, half a year of terrible characters no one likes + power creep means I can't even enjoy the characters I want to play anymore. Seed was definetly the moment I started to doubt but after seeing what's coming next (Ciessa and Lowell) compared directly to the Angels and Vesper? Nah. Shits fucked. Maybe Season 3 will save it but I doubt it.
