I don't remember if I've mentioned this before but I like how often the theme of nobility comes up in old monhun with regard to monsters. Rathalos is constantly referred to as King by quest names, characters, monster descriptions, etc. Likewise rathian is constantly called queen, tigrex is called a tyrant, and zinogre referred to as an usurper. This extends to monster parts as well with great jaggi dropping the King's Frill, great wroggi dropping the King's Beak, and great baggi dropping the King's Crest, etc. I know they still do this to an extent for example with the three lords in sunbreak but it seems like they just laid it on really thick with the old games. With all the focus on nobility it really just makes you wonder why they didn't explore human or wyverian kings much throughout the series. As far as I remember we have less than a handful of actual monarch-like figures in monhun to date. The only ones I can remember at the moment are His Immenseness and Princess Chichae. Though maybe that's the point and they're implying monsters are the true rulers of this land.
