I don't know who needs to hear this, but the prey ghosts can be instantly killed with interrupts, dispelling their buff, any CC that breaks casting, or anything that breaks target(vanish, invis, feign death, shadowmeld).And you can put the disarmed traps you've collected onto an action bar, and throw it at the ambush boss to cut off half their health bar instantly.
You know what I just realized? I haven't had any of those "slightly bumps into something while flying" disconnects in a while.

I'm more of a raider/M+ player these days, but I really feel like Prey did not stick the landing. My wife's partner is a very casual gamer, and she has both issues with the difficulty of nightmare prey, and anxiety when the ghost spawns or she has to kill something, etc.There's so much potential. Instead of just dying if Prey debuffs or mobs kill you, why not have the Prey target hit you with a debuff, and if you 'lose' the encounter, you fade to black and wake up in a cave about to be sacrificed? Then a zone NPC sneaks in to rescue you, but you have a debuff that prevents mounting for 3 minutes, and a pursuit debuff meaning you have to skedaddle on foot? Include a few dozen creative scenarios, and worse failure as you go on. You'd need quite a few scripted scenarios, or some sort of dynamic results of it, to prevent it from immediately being stale, but right now it's just way too punishing to die to nightmare prey, and it can kill you quite fast if you're not 100% on your game.Make the entire feature interesting, and something to actually engage with for players that want to. Instead it just feels like an attempt to reskin a WQ that rewards a limited number of higher tier gear as an alternative to delves (Open world vs in a phased 'dungeon'). But it's still just a WQ. I suppose my wish is Blizzard both did more with this feature, so it was more interesting, and made it less brutally punishing for people that panic under pressure, get Ambushed+ghost+kill something, and can't handle it. It very much is harder than a T11 delve, since you don't lose progress in a delve, at least not the same way. I've watched someone collect traps for 5 minutes, not notice the kill something debuff, die, and get really frustrated at having to restart.It's just dumb that the answer to Prey is to outgear it in order to grind a slightly more tedious WQ.
