I like Canto 9 because it felt like something was Happening In The World of Limbus, and while the writing wasn't expansive and terribly insightful, I felt that the situation at hand and characters present at least lived and breathed the world they're in instead of serving as the glorified mouth pieces for forced development. I didn't need a thousand words for development in order to find what was there stylistically compelling as agents in the world that Project Moon has created, the much ragged on Hype and Aura was good too, though Sinclair's Deus Ex Machina does in a way go against his character development, both him and Roach Gregor were large moments in the setting as we are experiencing it through Dante and the Sinners, a bit of a stretch but I can't think of another way to word this but I feel appreciating Canto 9 ironically requires more of a subtle immersion to really soak it in. It was at least so far best we've gotten to executing the 3 part Canto structure (ignoring Part 2) without feeling like we've skipped out on things that could've made a noticeable difference in quality had there been more parts, while not perfect I also think it had the best book adaptation of the Cantos yet.
