Ash's base skin has the same, but the color region of his groin area is the same as the rest of his torso. The difference is, on the gemini skin the torso above the waist is bare skin, so the groin area is isolated. So unless the color in area 1 is the same as area 2, he's going to look like he's wearing a diaper.
