I just finished up the first Canto this morning! Some anon yesterday wanted to hear my thoughts after each one: I really enjoy the SCP-like nature of Lobotomy Corp. I don't feel lost in all the terms and lore, so props to the writers for getting me up to speed. (And yes, I plan to play the previous games later down the line. Back in the day I did the same thing with Halo, staring with 3 and then going back to the other titles afterwards. Bad habits die hard.)I love the character interactions too. The dialogue is very engaging. I think my favorite is still Gregor and Ishmael. But I'm sure that'll change as more sinners get spotlights.The combat is super satisfying. There's lots of soul in the UI and animations and sounds. I'm just clicking the success rate button, but I've been paying attention to the tutorials for when the bosses start putting up a fight.The death flag was a little obvious, but it didn't take anything away from my enjoyment of the Canto. And the Akatsuki that showed up at the end were super cool looking, can't wait to learn more about their connection to the sinners.TLDR: Finally some good fucking food.
