The "deflowering" sprite actually makes more sense with the context of ch5 now.Weird Route assumes you've played through ch1-5 first. When you see the flower animation, it's basically telling you that the ch5 dark world is being skipped. Not only that but knowing that the flowers embody dreams but they die really easily due to being living plants, it symbolizes that Noelle's hopes and dreams have been shattered. The Noelle you knew up until this point has "died" and she'll never be the same again.
