I've given it a lot of thought, and I think that of all of the named, player-controlled airships in the mainline Final Fantasy series, the Falcon from Final Fantasy VI is my favorite.

I wish Hamaguchi never did so many interviews for Revelation thus far but the damage is already done at this point. If he kept things close to the chest I would've been able to enjoy one last FF7 hype cycle and be let down gently when I played the game for myself. I was holding out hope for so many different things but every other interview he's out here deconfirming things left and right. Some things I was hoping for since Remake but held out hope that surely it would be in the final part. And this is the last big budget Final Fantasy VII project for a very long time.However, i'm sure Revelation will be decent but it won't be one of those games that stands out in posterity. Brutal.

VO is great, combat is whatever, but it has some of the worst worldbuilding I've ever seen.Bearers can do for free what others need crystals for and with apparently no downside. Crystals are necessary for daily life and are an increasingly rare commodity. Yet not only are Bearers treated like total shit, they're viewed as completely disposable and barely worth attention. We're putting these resource fountains into suicide squads and sending them to die in war? Huh???If we had people that could shoot high-octane gasoline from their fingers they'd be a tightly controlled and protected asset by governments, or depending on how things shook out they'd be hailed as a mix of royalty, business tycoon, and god.
